Where does swimming occur?
Children swim at Beaver Lake. We have our own lifeguard on duty as well as our supervising counselors who undergo special training for swimming duties. All children are required to take a swim test; those who are not fully independent swimmers (as determined by the lifeguard) swim with life jackets (provided by parents). Life jackets can be stored at camp for the duration of your child’s attendance; thus your child does not have to schlep or lose it.
On Rainy days we sometimes take the children to Julius Boehms, have an alternate activity or an impromptu short field trip.
